Care for your skin as well as the environment
We love being out on the water, sun on the face and wind in the hair, but on a boat you can have too much of a good thing. Exposure to the elements leaves its mark with dehydrated, irritated, sun-stressed skin.
Our eco-conscious, anhydrous seaweed + herb recipes soothe, moisturize and protect your skin with no worries about what you’re absorbing or what’s running down the drain.
Made by an herbalist-gardener-water-lover. Designed to keep even the saltiest of sailors from looking crusty ;)
VEGAN + ALL-NATURAL

Ingredient spotlight:
Seaweed
Called the oldest plant on Earth, Seaweed is actually a type of complex algae not a plant, as it doesn’t have roots, stems or leaves.
Seaweed forests support fish, invertebrates, and marine mammals, providing food and shelter. Seaweed also absorbs CO2, reducing acidity in the ocean.
Seaweed is full of minerals and vitamins including A, B, C and E. Hydrating and soothing, it improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, redness, and sun spots caused by exposure to sun, wind and water.

Buriti oil saved my skin
I found out the hard way how different the sun is in North Carolina than back in Massachusetts. Different meaning intense. One summer here and my hands and forearms became covered in sunspots. It was really noticeable and a little embarrassing.
Luckily, I'd just discovered Buriti (pronounced bur-ree-chee) oil, highly touted as able to lighten dark spots caused by the sun as well as help protect skin from photo-damage...

Help. I think I'm plastic.
When the news of the day has you questioning your worth. Is skincare important or am I part of the marketing machine that exists only to make women feel insecure so they'll keep buying stuff they don't really need? Does that mean I'm superficial? Plastic?

Back to the garden
It's 92º today. Too hot to be in the garden. But I'm here anyway, scrubbing the birdbaths. The birds will be happy for some fresh, clean water.

Plant party- You're invited!
It's Friday the 13th and we're a week out from Solstice. A good time to put on green-colored glasses and talk about getting plant-y!

Hi, I'm Shay
Herbalist, gardener, skincare maker, and former micro-farmer, I took a YouTube sailor's advice to get off the farm and go sailing (true story), but you'll never find me away from the herbs for long. Plants are my North Star.
