No oil has vitamin C naturally
I know. Everybody says it. But it's simply not true. No vegetable oil, not even the famed Rosehip, naturally has vitamin C.
My reasoning? Vitamin C is Ascorbic acid. Ascorbic acid is soluble in water but not in oil. That means there can never be Ascorbic acid in an oil.
So while fresh Rosehips contain vitamin C, the oil pressed from its seeds does not.
Ascorbic acid is also very unstable and unsuitable for cosmetics. The vitamin C you see in skincare is a lab-made, stabilized derivative that can be either oil-soluble or water-soluble.
It's still a great ingredient that can brighten skin tone and help prevent the signs of again. But it's not natural.
Our motto
Keep it simple.
We believe the best care for skin is simple: Not too many products, not too many ingredients in each product. This can actually overwhelm and irritate sensitive skin.
Minimal, high-quality ingredients selected with sustainability in mind is what floats our boat.
